1ST INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR AND CONFERENCE: PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs) TO IMPROVE GOOD HEALTH AND WELFARE
Background
The SDGs apply to all countries (universally), so that all countries without the exception of developed countries have a moral obligation to achieve the Goals and Targets of the SDGs. All health issues in the SDGs are integrated into one goal, namely goal number three, which is to ensure a healthy life and promote well-being for all people at all ages, whose targets include, reducing the maternal mortality ratio to less than 70 per 100,000 births, ending death preventable deaths in newborns and under-fives, with each country targeting to reduce neonatal mortality to at least 12 per 1000 births and under-five mortality to as low as 25 per 1000 live births, reducing by one third of premature deaths caused by non-communicable diseases, through action prevention and treatment and promoting mental health and well-being, supporting research and development of vaccines and drugs for communicable and non-communicable diseases, which particularly affect developing countries, providing access to affordable basic medicines and vaccines. The biggest challenge in implementing the sustainable development agenda is the reformulation of the integrated development concept and the placement of health as a series of development management processes that include input, process, output, outcome and impact of development as well as understanding together the substance of health development that must be carried out together in the era of decentralization and democratization. At the moment, realizing the importance of promoting the goals of the third SDGs, the Health Faculty of Aisyah University of Pringsewu will held an international seminar with the theme Promote Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to Improve Good Health and Welfare.

1. Nursing Home Care Diabetic
Diabetes management in the elderly is a group effort that involves residents, families, nursing facilities, and care givers. Diabetes management can greatly affect the patient's quality of life and life expectancy. Parents in long-term care settings should have an Individual Care Plan (ICP) that includes specific guidelines on how to properly manage all of their health conditions. This treatment plan is especially important for patients with diabetes.
2. Obesity and Related Diseases
Obesity is a major health risk because it can cause impaired quality of life and an increased risk of various diseases including type 2 diabetes (T2D), cardiovascular disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and certain types of cancer. Metabolic syndrome is a grouping of metabolic risk factors associated with abdominal obesity. It can be defined by the presence of abdominal obesity and one of the following 2 factors: increased fasting plasma glucose, increased TG, decreased HDL cholesterol, and hypertension. The metabolic syndrome often precedes the onset of T2D and cardiovascular disease. Worldwide, it is estimated that about a quarter of the adult population suffers from the metabolic syndrome and the burden of obesity-related diseases causes 2.8 million deaths annually. Thus, effective strategies to reduce the morbidity and mortality caused by obesity are important.
3. Gestational Diabetes
Gestational diabetes is a type of diabetes that can develop during pregnancy in women who don't already have diabetes. Each year, 2% up to 10% of pregnancies in the United States are affected by gestational diabetes. Managing gestational diabetes will help ensure you have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.
4. Immunosuppressants Targeting Dysregulated Pathways Triggered by SARS-CoV-2
The SARS-CoV-2 virus or known as COVID-19 is still in a global epidemic, which has profoundly affected people's lives. The virus has proven to be very deadly, including immunosuppressive patients. Where all patients must continue to take their drugs in order to build a stable immune system and follow government recommendations to minimize contact with the public so as not exposed to the coronavirus. Plant polyohenols may become as potential immunosuppressants targeting dysregulated pathways triggered by SARS-CoV-2.
